Uwezo annual learning assessments are citizen-led assessments, aimed at collecting household data on children’s mastery levels of reading and arithmetic. On 14th October, 2015, Twaweza inaugurated this assessment for Handeni District.
The Handeni District Commissioner, Honorable Husna Rajab Msangi, emphasizes a point during the inauguration of a two-days training of community volunteers who are prepared to undertake the Uwezo Annual Assessment on literacy and numeracy in Handeni Town Council. The workshop was held on 14th October, 2015 at Bwawani Hotel, in Handeni.
